David Game College are looking to offer a range of Music and Music Technology scholarships for GCSE and A Level Music and Music Technology students for September 2020 entry, including:

*10%
*25%
*50%
*100%

10%, 25%, 50% and 100% discount of the tuition fee in the academic year 2020-21.

Applicants for our A level & GCSE Music Scholarships will be asked to submit the following;

• Cover letter/personal statement from the student
• Details of your last exam in your chosen instrument: A Level candidate Grade 6 or higher, GCSE Grade 4 or higher
• A recording of a performance, lasting approximately 2 minutes.

Any applicant invited to an interview will also need to perform a piece of their choice and may be asked to undertake sight reading, music theory or other tests to demonstrate knowledge and ability. A reference of recommendation from your Music/Peripatetic teacher may also be required.

When awarding scholarships, the key elements we are likely to consider are applicants’ test scores, performance at interview, school reports and references.   

You must submit your application by Friday 5th June 2020. Online interviews will commence from Monday 8th June 2020.

We are still accepting applications for September 2020 entry. Our open evenings are a great way to get an overview of the College’s ethos, have a tour of the facilities and chat to senior staff.

Applicants should be 16+ or turning 16 no later than August 2019.

We are looking for students with top grades at school and also at least an IELTS level of 6.

• Copy of their school transcripts for the current academic year (2018-19) and previous academic year (2017-18)
• Copy of any qualifications
• Completed Medical and SEN Form
• Personal Statement
• UKVI IELTS certificate*

*Students under 18 may alternatively sit our internal English Language test if they have not sat IELTS.

We are excited to be offering Music Technology AS and A level next year alongside Music GCSE and A Level. We are also offering the opportunity for students to have individual music lessons for any level from beginners including music theory and exams preparation. We have a team of visiting music teachers for Strings, brass, percussion, guitar – bass and acoustic. So changing schools does not mean giving up your musical instrument and it can also be an opportunity to try something new.
